Allow me: "The Emperor's New Clothes".

A bit pompous I think producing 12 bottles of beer and selling it as a collectors item at €700 a pop.
It could taste like piss and no one will ever know as no one will ever open the bottle to taste it at that price. Beer is for drinking not collecting.
It sounds to me like these guys really wanna make whisky, although I've tried and like some of their normal beers.

There's a fine line between genius and madness. Not only have they crossed it but they are now no longer visible on the horizon.

They'll always be known as those whacky dudes who put beer in a squirrel suit and sold it though....

It's a publicity stunt: it keeps BrewDog in the news and acts as a way of raising brand awareness. News outlets (and web forums) start discussing it and people are reminded of BrewDog, and might just pick up a few bottles of Punk IPA next time they see them. Making far-out beer that next-to-nobody will ever buy is probably a more cost-effective marketing method than paid advertising.

Though it looks like they've spotted the diminishing returns from the Strongest Beer In The World story.
