Is this going to be real craft beer? (Bloom Festival Dublin) 15 years 11 months ago #1

Here[/url:1k8o6hns]: [i:1k8o6hns]With gardening central to Bloom of course a ‘beer garden,' might seem like a natural inclusion at the show, however Bord Bia is planning to incorporate a selection of Ireland’s finest spirits, liqueurs as well as a number of Irish Craft Beers.[/i:1k8o6hns]

Is this us? Is Bord Bia really pushing craft beer? Real craft beer?

The information we have from Bord Bia is that the micro-breweries in attendance will be us, Trouble, Whitewater, Porterhouse, Galway Hooker and Double L cider.

Other drinks producers there are Boozeberries, Cooley Distillery, Bunratty Mead & Liqueur Co and Slane Castle Whiskey.

This is all in the 'Bloom Inn' which is just by the large picnic / entertainment area and the food area.

Pink and purple ones too, just to piss off Nick Cave. 15 years 11 months ago #5

Unless the Budweiser people had their set-up cleverly hidden under some pretty wisteria plants today when we were setting up... then it is a genuine Irish craft beer event, with all the breweries who were mentioned by Dungarvan above, in attendance.

So if the attendees are drinking beer this weekend, they'll be drinking Irish craft beer (smuggled in cans of Dutch Gold aside).

Oh, that's good news! I saw that advertised, but didn't see any talk of it on here (probably missed it). Good luck to all micros in attendance!
