OK so I thought I had made a big feck up with my first Turbo Cider.
I followed a recipe I had read from memory and put in enough tea for 23l into 4.5l
These are my notes from the day
Recipe
4l Aldi apple juice
1 Ballycross (sweet eating apple) apple liquidised with some of the AJ
1 Mug tea made with 3 bags, stewed for 10 mins
Caster sugar to raise OG to somewher over 1.050 hard to be exact with the apple bits floating.
1/2 sachet champagne yeast
Topped up after a few days with AJ (Lidl this time <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="

" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) --> )
Bottled with 1/2 tsp sugar per pint.
After trying the TC in Cork yesterday I decided to give it a taste today.
On bottling day it near cut my throat with bitterness and I was afraid, after all the reading I had done it would be dry as adry thing.
Very , very drinkable, I'm amased (sp?), is it the extra tannin?
Anyway off to one of the German Cider stores tomorrow for juice for 23l and a box of teabags
