Beer us best filtered cold - 1 or 2 degrees celcius will do. This causes haze to form in the beer which is then trapped by the filter leaving the finished beer crystal clear at serving temperature. Our chiller wasn't up to the job for the first few brews.

Ahh so that explains why my beer cools better in the fridge. Always wondered why exactly it happened.

There's a fairly significant difference from your first few batches mind, so it certainly makes the difference.

As opposed to the oven? <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->
Should that be "clears" instead of "cools"?
