I've been in two beerless M&S's, both of which had "Wine and Beer" sections. <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

I haven't seen anywhere selling the Cornish IPA (basically St Austell's Proper Job, I'm told) which lots of people have said is the best in the M&S range. And has the Irish stout disappeared? Shame if it has.

Nice, but no way is it worth 3 quid a bottle.

Made a schoolboy error here, left it til last and can't remember what it was like.

Picked up a couple of the M&S beers this evening in Jervis.

Cans of Leicestershire bitter (from the Everards brewery) €4.29 for four. Not packed with flavour but pleasant enough. 3.8%.

Also picked up the following which I haven't tasted yet: (all 4 for the price of 3)

Belgian Wheat Beer
Belgian Wheat Cherry Beer
Lincolnshire bitter
Southwold winter beer

Was drawn towards the attractive chocolate porter bottle but didn't buy it due to the negative reviews here.

For some reason there was also 10% off the total bill so just under €20 for 8 bottles and 4 cans of beer. Not bad.

I thought the Licolnshire and Southwold were the pick of these. The cherry wheat beer was like a malty alcopop. The Belgian wheat was just ok.
