Growlers are great, I always have a few on hand to get filled at my favourite brewpub or when I go to a liquor store in Buffalo - check out the site of one of the stores I go to for Growler fills

I have been looking into this. I was handed one of these the other day.

It's a 2 litre version, i'll fill it later and see how it survives on the back of an R1 on the way home. If that thing blows up while i'm driving, well we know how that will end. <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: --> <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->

I actually have one of those at home. Keep meaning to use it on bottling day.

So I filled my 2 ltr Flensburger bottle with O'Hara's red and headed off. When i opened it there was no fizziness from being rocked about, and it poured just as a pub pint would. Full flavoured & sparkly just right.

Next thing is to find a supplier of Growlers, or a way of shipping them here cheap.

I wonder when Barry M is next visiting <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=":wink:" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

R1 too smooth for a proper test <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
I'll collect one and bring it home on me SP1 <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

It's been a while since I've seen a growler; my first experience with "real beer" in the states. Took the missus away to the 'wilderness' for her birthday, and wound up in a tiny brewpub sandwiched between the middle of nowhere, and lake superior.

At first you feel a little out of place, in a tiny pub, in a tiny village, way off the track. Next thing you know you're drinking a blueberry ale with the brewmaster and a local, and they bought 'erself a round for her birthday.

We lived 3 hours away from this place, so being able to take home a couple of jugs was wonderful. And on the Craft marketing side - the perfect excuse to go back.

(<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.grandmaraismichigan.com/LSBC/">www.grandmaraismichigan.com/LSBC/ - our only complaint is they sold beer faster than they could brew it!)
