Šariš Tmavé at the Czech Inn 16 years 6 months ago #1

Just a heads-up about a new beer in the Czech Inn: Šariš Tmavé, a Slovakian black lager. It's really heavy and chocolatey, great winter drinking.

And they have Murray's Lager as well, for those who fear to tread in Murray's itself. New theory on that: any chance it's rebadged Boh Pils? Can anyone find out?

I really like the Kozel dark they had before, great to see a draft availability of dark lager in Dublin

Kozel is gone from the Czech Inn, downstairs anyway, but is still available at Pifko.

none of the staff in Czech Inn or Pifko seem to have heard of Masters which is widely available in Prague...pity that cos its a really nice dark lager

Master is a style rather than a beer, isn't it? They used to have Staropramen Master in the Czech Inn, and it was pretty awful. Apparently there's a Pilsner Urquell Master as well which is much better.

Ohh
Where's the Czech Inn ?

I'm a bit of a fan of good czech beer .

Edit : Google is my friend , Essex Gate Templebar .

Really lads I'm amazed it's there three years and I never heard of it .
Must have a look in some night ( gambrinus isn't too bad , shame they don't have Harold Velvet or Kelt though )

12 bucks for a gulash is abit steep though ..
