Having a bottle of Innovation now. I got it in Sweeneys. It is a lovely beer. Great fruity aroma, lovely balanced hops. The comment earlier that it is like an American beer but done well is accurate.

Ahem!

In America a "balanced" IPA is just another way of saying "not hoppy enough"

Innovation is meh for me. Quite a nice ale in it's own right, but since they declare themselves on the label to be an American IPA, and bump up the ABV accordingly, then by that standard it's got nowhere near enough hops presence.

Or maybe it's just all the scarring on my tongue from past hops bombs.

Have now tried Adnams " The Bitter " and enjoyed it immensely
Also "Lighthouse" very good too .

These are definitely the first english beers I've been happy to drink . proper hops and malt character , the lighthouse being a shade less hoppy than the bitter. very nice , very drinkable, enjoyable beers .

4 for a tenner in the Abbotts Ale House at the moment
