Today (Day 2 in D.C.) I stopped into an off-license down the street and hit the jackpot in difficult to find Dogfish Head beers so I decided that I'd do a themed purchase and stick to only DFH beers.

My treasure trove:
1. Dogfish Head Theobroma - Beer brewed from a historical alcoholic chocolate beverage that the Mayans and Aztecs used to drink. Strangely a clear, orange color and made ith honey, cocoa nibs, cocoa powder, ancho chilies, and ground annato. 9% AVB
2. Dogfish Head Pangaea- 7% AVB Ale brewed with ingredients from every continent on earth: Water from Antarctica, crystalized ginger from Australlia, basmati rice from Asia, North American malt, European (German) hops, sugar from Africa, aged on Palo Santo Marron wood from South America
3. Dogfish Head World Wide Stout (Imperial Stout)- 18% ABV VERY highly rated stout (we will see)
4. Dogfish Head Raison D'Extra- an 18% ABV version of their Raison D'Etre. Brewed with LOTS of malt and LOTS of raisons; I can't wait to see what a ton of raisons does to the flavor.

Once I get to drinking these I'll post back notes...

If you're looking for a trip to the eastern U.S., Aer Lingus has some decent deals to the destinations that they fly directly to: Boston, New York, D.C., and Orlando right now. Of these cities, New York and Orlando arguably aren't that great of beer destinations; Boston and D.C. are pretty good destinations for the beer enthusiast, though. (With the significant edge to Boston, IMHO.)
