I feel some exploring coming on. If I don't report back, could somebody please look after the dubbel fermenting in my spare room. Oh, and maybe inform the wife while you're there.

I would never have put Booze To Go and craft brewing in the same sentence. Their target market is normally the Dutch Gold/Bavaria drinker. However I passed by the one on the Quays a couple of weeks ago and was very surprised to see the attached bar with signs for the house beer. I think they had signs up for Draught Budvar @ 3.50 too which is a good deal.

OK, it's not around the corner, it's on the quays though camouflaged as part of the offy:

It's quite nice inside -- roomy and sort of canteeny. Clientele were a couple of slightly bewildered tourists, a couple of delivery men having lunch and just three random elderly drunks, all keeping themselves to themselves.

Pifko Premium is the house beer and is €4 a pint. Oddly bitter and slightly perfumey ale. It's imported but he didn't say where from.

They also had Staro, Budvar and Urquell and Kozel Dark on draught, plus Kozels Dark and Light and Gambrinus bottled.

And they have a website[/url:2dy7klv0].

I was charged only 3.50 and he told me that he had a friend who worked for Heineken in Ireland that was into homebrewing and that he brewed the beer. That's why they have a sign outside saying Pifko the source
