Nice to know that the yeast isn't killed by the cold. Just had a sip of that fullers reserve. Its pretty nice but I don't know if the whisky flavours add to the whole experience. And I do like a good whiskey. If we take the maxim, "perfection is reached not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away." as true, then I can't help wondering that the beer might be much better if aged for a similar length of time in a vessle which would impart less of, or a more subtle whisky flavour. There is definately a lovely english ale somewhere in there.

Bought it in bandon as i was passing through. The offlicance was called Carry Out and I have subsequently found a a thread about the same place on ICB. The thread is called:

"Good Off license in Bandon"

No worries Greendean - might check Galvins's carryout on Bandon Road sometime as they have pretty good selection. Thanks

I have also seen it in some SuperQuinn stores and they have the superior vintage ale too <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
