The set up is similar to one shown in the May/Clarke docudrama. The buggers over there always make it look effortless. You'd be jumping through hoops for a decade to get a legal brewery running in your garage over here.

Nice idea to do custom beers for people. It'd be great fun to have something like this as a sideline. How difficult can it be? <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

I'd be tempted myself (if i knew anything about the German tax system!).

if you set up a brew on premises and charged for the raw materials and use of equipment for eg

If you are brewing and selling (in any form) I don't see why you would not be covered by the same laws and rules that other commerical brewery are under
