Fresh from the non-rumour mill 17 years 1 month ago #1

Judging is ongoing at the Michael Jackson awards, but the brewers are gathering downstairs at the moment. They don't seem too nervous.

Anyway, I was chatting to Cuilán, and he was saying White Gypsy is pretty much ready to roll -- it's just Revenue red tape that's holding things up. He says the MM brewery will not be closing down -- he'll still be doing some of the brewing there, though the big batches will be brewed in Templemore. He's using the old Kinsale kit but will not, it seems, being making Kinsale beer for them. Somebody else might, though.

Initial plans are for a White Gypsy dunkel lager and an English-style IPA (a malty beer and a hoppy beer, basically). There's a fair chance we'll see Black Pearl back on the shelves (happy dance), though under a different, legal, name. And his beer [i:38l17ayj]will[/i:38l17ayj] be coming to the Irish market.

Also, cask ale is back in Tipp. Cuilán's brother runs Finn's Bar in Borisleigh[/url:38l17ayj] and he's taken on Rusty on cask. It's being rebadged with the name of the local saint. So when you're in, ask for St Cuilán's Ale.
