Fuller's Vintage Ale 2008 17 years 1 month ago #1

I came across this beer at the week-end in Superquinn, Naas on special offer at 5 euro a bottle, 500 mo btl at 8.5%. In a very nice presenetation box, each obttle numbered. On the box the head brewer suggests that these are great bottles to put down for a a few years. I have never seen thenm in ireland before and was pleaaed to grab a few. In fact I went back on Sunday morning and took the last three there!!

I wonder has anyone on the site ever tried this beer before? It is being brewed each year since 1997, The 2008 brew is 145,000 bottles in total. I do not intend opening these for some time but would appreciate if anyone has any views on them.

As an aside I also picked up a bottle of Kasteel Cru, 5.2% Lager from Alsace brewed with champagne yeast. It gets very pooo revieww on Beer Advocate and is apparently a beer de chanmpagne. It was more out of curiosity I got it but needless to say I will not be putting this one down!!!!

Yeah, I had[/url:5i656652] a 2007, which came with a recommendation to drink immediately. Not heard anything about the 2008 though.
