Superquinn are decent folks 17 years 1 month ago #1

Just thought I would mention my experience the other day in superquinn up by Marley Park.

I picked up two bottles of Fullers Vintage ale for €10 and some change each as well as a hobgoblin and some chicken wings (lunch time).
I have two Brewers Reserve at home too so I want to compare.

Anyway on my way out of the supermarket, one of the boxes of vintage Ale fell from my arms and smashed on the ground Anyway a guy walking towards me said "sure bring it back in, they might replace it for you".
So back I went, hoping but knowing I was entitled to nothing as it was my own fault. The woman at the service desk talked to the manager on the phone and said I can go get another one I found a 2007 bottle at the back so it was even better.
Shame I wasted one though.

Anyway fair play to SuperQuinn

It's nice to hear a story like that. The news isn't all bad! And yes, fair play to Superquinn, not sure it would happen in Dunnes (even if they did sell those brews).

I've got a number of free beers from Superquinn because the bottles wouldn't scan. It seems to be a policy, or they can't be arsed to sort it out.

It certainly used to be a policy. If it doesn't scan, it's free. I miss Superquinn...

I picked up a Brooklyn Lager for one euro in SuperValu in Skerries the other day when it failed to scan. Maybe they have a simmilar (though obviously inferior) policy?

That was very decent of them.
