Roll up roll up! Get yer ale filled trugs! 17 years 5 months ago #1

This nice little pack is in Marks and Sparks at the moment. It'll set you back 23 quid which is pricey, but I suppose it's gift pack, and that's how I got it.

I've had the Yorkshire Bitter before and wasn't very impressed. Let's hope the others are a little better.

Handy little carrier too. But yeah, 23 is pretty steep!

Someone told me there's a stall at one of the Christmas Markets in town selling beers from around the world in little gift trugs (is that the actual name of these? <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->), so it'll save me from being jealous.

I've never heard of the word trug, but that's what these are according to the packaging.

Marks and Sparks beers of the world pack is a bit crap if I recall, with plenty of bland wits and such in it.

€23 is [i:gin28hl9]insane[/i:gin28hl9] for four beers, wooden basket or no.

Speaking of buying beer for the festive season, I'm up and down to the wee north every week at the moment - let me know if you want Clotworthy Dobbins or Belfast Ales for around half the Dublin price
