I'm not certain I like the flavours mentioned that much though. SN new IPA sounds like a hop beast.

I would love to play around with that hop. Sounds really intetresting.

Don't know what they are talking about with that hop torpedo device. Seems like an overly complex dry hopping method.

They claim that it prevents bitterness being extracted from the dry hops, but I was unaware of any bitterness addition from dry hopping anyway. I mean, you need to isomerise the alpha acids to add bittering and you have to boil them to get them to isomerise, right?

I'm not fully up to speed, but some beta acids contribute bittering too without boiling, which can often be a little harsh. I'll have a root through a textbook and report back.

The beta acids colupulone, lupulone and adlupulone can be auto oxidised to cohulupone, hulupone and adlupulone respectively which can contribute significantly to bitterness in beer.

It is stated that this is more an issue with storage and occurs in old hops, which most brewers would not use one would imagine, but with the cost of hops at the moment perhaps corners are being cut and this process allows older hops to be used.

They're making up those names!

The same thought occurred to me. Still they're easy to remember. Just think of hulahoops.
