It's interesting how Ireland differs in its approach to making drink dearer. Even the shrillest of the drink-is-too-cheap brigade won't dare mention the pubs, or suggest a "binge-drinking levy[/url:kcf6s4fk]". And no politician has the balls to take the publicans to task on their contribution to anti-social behaviour. Blame it all on the off trade and everybody's happy.
