This probably isn't directly relevent to brewing in Ireland but it may have some beneficial knock on effects, if there is indeed a boom in craft brewing in the UK. We shall see...

Cheers, Les

Wow: I didn't think it was posible for me to hate the Torygraph more than I do, but there you go.

What an ignorant, poorly researched, preconceived pile of shite.

About time. Now, why don't you fuck off Gerard, you insufferable prick?

Well said. And far more venomous than I could have mustered. I certainly felt like letting rip with Twenty Major-esque attack, but relented.

[/quote:1qpk9pgg]It reads like an Evening Herald article. I wonder if this piece is a good indication of his journalistic standard; I pity the poor editors who have no choice but to read his prose on a regular basis.

Not sure how TBN knows Gerard wrote this as the article - is not signed? What jumps out of the page in the article is line after line of negative comment accompanied by as many put downs of other people as it is possible to fit in. Is he reflecting his own state of mind or that of his readers? Either way --- [b:24yielbu]Sad Sad Sad[/b:24yielbu]

The author is named as Jasper Gerard in the first line under the date. Do you know him, Westbrew?

Googling around, he doesn't seem to be the most popular figure on Fleet Street.
