Chocolate Truffle Stout 19 years 1 month ago #1

Had a pint of this in the Porterhouse, Parliament Street last night. Still haven't made my mind up on it, it's definitely chocolatey, not much truffle, it's definitely worth tasting but i suppose i would've been hoping for a more bitter chocolate taste rather than a milk chocolate taste which is what it has. I don't think I would drink many in a sitting but 1 or 2 would be good though I have to say if wrasslers is on tap i'd rarely go for anything else in the porterhouse (maybe the tsb, vienna and one of my favourites from last year the hemp beer). they're having a stout festival around st patricks day but there were scant details available in the pub. if i hear or find anything about it i'll post it back here.

Oooh it's back! I have never managed to try it. I am always out of the country, or something when they have it.

I have to agree with your favourite Porterhouse beers, BTW. Although I would put them in a different order: 1: Vienna, 2: TSB, 3: Wrasslers.

Nice beer, but I would not drink it all night

I liked it when I tried it last year. My favourite in the Porterhouse varies. At the moment I'm partial to TSB. I vary between Wrasslers and Oyster when I'm drinking stout as they're both excellent. I would love to try them both and O'Haras in the same sitting.

At the moment my would have to be TSB

Mine is, and shall ever be, TSB. (Unless they brew an IPA, which I reckon would be pretty good if their other beers are any guide...)
