well the black pearl is no longer being hidden away and sold on a nod and wink basis, had a couple of bottles last night and they were in the fridge upstairs (only discovered this after having gone through the "there's a few bottles hidden in the cold room for beer snobs" routine <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt="" title="Embarassed" /><!-- s:oops: --> )
does anyone else think it has more of an effect than the 5.2% would have you believe? i had 2 bottles very slowly and felt a little tipsy afterwards. maybe it's just me.

Can't say I noticed. Though 5.2% is a fair bit heavier than your typical Irish stout.
