Yes, it's the same brewer. I vaguely remembered finding something about this a while back and your post prompted me to look through my bookmarks.

Good point. Also one the recent spamming had me thinking about. Any way we can make it so you have to register and sign in before you can even read the forums? Is this workable? If workable, is it something we should do or would it be overly restrictive for not-joined-yet newbies?

It's just from a security POV like. All the articles and all would still be open. Thoughts?

Take your point, and I'm sure it's possible, but I'd be agin it. If the stakeholders in the Black Pearl Limited Public Issue wish for discussion on it to be discontinued, then that's not a problem. But they were the ones who started this thread.

Bottom line: don't post stuff to ICB that you don't want the world to see.

My apologies if you were offended by the spam, and I'm still not 100% convinced that it falls into the "spam" category. "Shilling", yes sure, but that's a greyer area. I think a two-strikes model works best -- a second post advertising the same thing means deletion and banning.

Besides which, I don't think we've had so much of a spam problem that we even need such a formal editorial policy.
