The New York Farm Brewery License[/url:3a71xx4n], which I rave about with some regularity (ask me Saturday!), is a great case study for this.

It was created to mimic the 1976 NY Farm Winery Act, which successfully created not just a wine industry (261 NY wineries), but a wine *tourism* industry in both the Finger Lakes region and on the North Fork of Long Island.

The brewing version took effect in January of last year and there are already 33 new licenses.

I could work up some numbers off of this when the time comes to make our case.
