Apparently Rising Road will also be available in The Bridge 1859[/url:3t8zikgi] - what used to be Bellamys, in Ballsbridge. It's been bought by Seán O'Brien, Jamie Heaslip and the Kearney brothers.

They're also trumpeting "Tankova", which appears to be Pilsner Urquell on cask. Opening tomorrow, so I may pop in if I end up going to the match.

I don't get it - for either bar, but especially Bison. People actively asking them to stock craft beer (preferably Irish), and they go... "Eh.. nah. We're whiskey specialists. And BBQ, obviously."

You don't have to "specialise" in beer to get one or two craft taps (or even bottles) in. There may be a whiskey equivalent of Beoir, but I've not come across them. And I know nobody who says "Let's go out for a few whiskies." Let alone "This particular whiskey would go great with [i:6a9ml0tw]this [/i:6a9ml0tw]type of brisket."
