A bit confused by the instructions on the voting page:
"
Open to the public. Select one beer in each category. Voting for festival special beers will open on the 4th of September.
Everyone who votes will be entered into a draw to win an Irish Craft Beer and Cider hamper. Closing date is the 3rd of September.
"
Seems like closing date is before the festival even starts?

The winners will be announced next Thursday at the ICBCF, hence the closing date. There will then be another vote for the duration of the ICBCF for the festival beer. Unfortunately a few of the brewers put their festival beers in with the "Ireland's favourite craft beer" voting...
Where are people getting details on the various specials and regular beers that breweries are planning to showcase?[/quote:3pbqz90r]
Insider knowledge...
The festival app will be going live in the next 24 hours, a lot of the specials are listed on it.[/quote:3pbqz90r]
and i'll need to get them listed on ratebeer. If any look like they're going to kick before saturday feel free to hand bottle me a sample <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->
i think that vote should list every beer available if its to be representative...best irish cider out of three brands listed when there are over 20? useless indicator

All breweries/cider makers were invited to vote- the list represents those who responded.
And of course Carlow are at the festival- they own the festival...
