So the suggestion would be to complete the quals through IBD Ireland, and then look for employment with a brewery? Going to be tough being unemployed that long, but I'll do it if it means a job in a brewery at the end.

Ibd course is run in my place several times a year now. Skillnets provide funding and the exams are done in Ireland through the ibd.

In terms of what shane has mentioned, That is exactly how i find myself brewing in a brewery today. I was taken on through Jobbridge, and my internship is just about over, I will sit the IBD exam in May, and although the funding was cut for the exam, the brewery paid for it and have been assured of my position in the company.

It is by no means easy to work for an extra €50 per week on your payment. You will be put through your paces and your patience and energy will be tried on a daily basis but if you can stick it out it will be well worth it.

Hope you find something suitable.
