West kerry brewery 12 years 5 months ago #1

Im going to dingle for a few days. Is the west kerry brewery still going? Anyone visited it or their pub (i think they have their own pub going by the directory). Is it worth the trip?

Tbh im a bit confused about the brewery, are they just supplying their pub? Are they one or two breweries?! Havent seen their bottles around recently

I saw plenty of their bottles in the Castle offlicence in Tralee last weekend.
Nice selection in there too if you have the patience to find it all. There is no method to their display with bits and pieces in at least six different places in a side room to the right when you come in the door.
However I scored a bottle of FWs Jameson cask aged stout in there, I thought I had missed the boat on it <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

I'm currently in the Dingle area too, and was drinking Carraig Dubh on bottle in Benner's at the Other Voices streaming. The pub is a nice spot, and a good chance to try their beers on cask. Well worth a look!

They sold the pub though. The beer might still be available as the brewery is still next door though.
