Bigfoot in particular has a bit of a following for drinking several years at once to see the changes - google "bigfoot vertical"[/quote]

Read the vertical. What a find. I always live in the hope that the same would happen me!

I aged a few bottles over a year ago including Chimay blue, Westvleteren 12, St Bernardus 12 but the one that was a stand out (for me) was the Porterhouse barrel-aged Celebration stout (11%) - it was fantastic after a year!

I would highly recommend putting that on away in a cool dark place. I use an old stone shed that is cool and dark (secret location!).

I did try aging some Orval about 5 years ago but don't think they benefitted that much from the year I gave them.

I'd say porter houses new one louder would be great with a year on it. Have 1 bottles at home but I'm sure they won't last. Must pick up some more and pack them away.

I have an 'accidental aging' question:

I was in New York last month and left a 650ml bottle of Stone Smoked Porter behind in a relative's fridge. The bottle will still be there next time I visit, which will most likely be in 12-18 months.

Anyone have any thoughts on how it's likely to hold up? At 5.9%, it's lower in alcohol than the beers most commonly chosen for aging.
