I seem to remember that the original latin term for yeast (well before it was discovered) translated to 'god is good'.

I look forward to reading this book.

It was godisgood in English, not Latin.

Latin Notes:

"Saccharomyces" derives from Latinized Greek and means "sugar mold" or "sugar fungus", saccharo- being the combining form "sugar-" and myces being "fungus". Cerevisiae comes from Latin and means "of beer".
