great review Séan. Looks like exactly the sort of thing I waste most of my time trawling to find out, and then I never think to write any of it down. Will certainly pick it up. Well done Les!

actually, is this a pared down version of the 2004 book <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.bookdepository.co.uk/book/9780595297...wers-Recipe-Database">www.bookdepository.co.uk/book/97 ... e-Database , which seems to have twice as many pages? or is it just a different format?

I'd say a bit of both by the descriptions I've read. The first edition was actually first published in 2001, and was 666 pages long (spooky). Les must have done a lot of pruning to squeeze the new addition down to 366 pages (less spooky).
