Water Profiles 19 years 1 week ago #1

I have in my possession a huge range of water profiles for the country and will be updating the KB item on water profiles[/url:39gmbpqh]over time.

If you know the name of your public water supply and want the profile up, let me know and I can do those requests first.

There's bloody hundreds of them and I have to work out some of the values by hand, so I'll focus on larger towns first.

Nicely done, a very good resource

Actually, maybe not as good as I thought. I've just scanned through the database I recieved and it's missing many of the key elements I needed, including Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfate, Total Alkalinity (from which I derived the bicarbonates).

So, a hell of a lot missing, amking the data I got pretty much useless <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->

On the upside, it does mean I have a list of all the public water supplies, so I'll hit the local authorities directly to see if I can get the raw data.

I should have the Dublin, Leixlip one at home, i will try to dig it out

That'd be great. I did get the raw data for Leixlip from a Co. Co., but it was also missing key information! Hopefully you got a different sheet.

If anyone else has water profiles for their area not already on the KB item, please please send them to me. bmasterson @ irishcraftbrewer.com

Thanks

I just dug out my water analysis report for our private well. I can't make much sense of it.

edit: ok I just read your article, and through pro mash worked out the Ca, Mg and Cl. I have ph (5.77) but no Na SO4 or HCO3. Do I need to worry about these?

edit 2: Right, I have the HCO3 now.

It gives NO2, NO3, NH4, Copper, Zinc, Iron, Lead etc. Are these any help?
