Anyone in the UK who actually cares what their beer tastes like probably wouldn't be buying it bottled anyway.

Has anyone had a bottle straight from the box?

Good article and a good night.

As I said to TBN, I wish I'd remembered to ask people to put down their favourite and least favourite at the same time as the names of the beers. It would have been interesting data. As far as I can remember, the three people at my sitting all picked the same favourite and least favourite beer (ESB & Abbot respecively), whatever they the thought the brand was.

My idea for a different sort of tasting was to line up a bunch of beers, not necessarily of the same or even similar styles and simply get people to rate them, without knowing what brand they are.

It would have the same predjudice busting effect without the possibility of me scoring 0 again.

[/quote:3p7rsprb]That could be fun all right. But you'd have to do it actually blind, so you weren't judging based on style based on colour.

I'm thinking one candidate at a time, who can pick their favourite at the end, but should tell the audience what the style is as they go, because there has to be [i:3p7rsprb]some[/i:3p7rsprb] level of humiliation to these games, otherwise there's no point <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Ye I think nearly everyone said ESB was the favourite ( but put london pride down) and Abbots the worst.
