Just ordered a copy of this, looking forward to it and hopefully trying to recreate and reinvent some interesting old brews

I asked for (and received) a copy of this book as a birthday present. Interesting read for anybody into the history of British styles - Stout and Porter have a chapter each - which made me very happy!

The descriptions of older brewing techniques are however a little brief - I would have preferred some more detail.

Good book though - it's got my thumbs up!

There's loads of that sort of detail on Ron's blog. It's just finding it that's a nightmare.
