I eat in The Porterhouse North every so often and am happy with the offerings. The specials seem to have improved considerably in the last few months.

Having said that, I do have to agree that the food in the Bull & Castle is considerably and consistently better. The only problem is that there isn't a lot for my meat shy wife to eat.

Can't say I've ever had a problem with Porterhouse food either.

Only issue I ever had was one time I ordered a burger and chips and I got 6 - literally exactly 6 - chips with the burger - whereas the other lads I was eating with got a decent plateful. Kicked up a bit of a stink and finally got another portion. Otherwise been fine

I've eaten there several times with no issues.
When i get sick of the work canteen, it's nice to have good beer and food side by side elsewhere.

The pizzas in the Glasnevin branch are very good and cheap as well.

Speaking of cheap The Thirsty Bull Tyrrelstown has a ten euro a main course and 3.50 a drink offer on all January. I got a half a roast duck and a Hilden headless dog for 13.50 down from usually over 20.

Good value, so they are not selling the porterhouse any more?
