Murray's Bar 16 years 6 months ago #1

So I went in to Murray's Bar, O'Connell st, Dublin last night (on my way to the Gate!), strolled up to the bar, spied the "Murray's Ale" tap and called for a pint of same. The barman told me that it had run out, was due in next morning and offered me a pint of Miller instead at the same price.

I declined, and took a pint of Staropramen.

I wouldn't mind, but I had been by the Czech Inn earlier (was at the PH) and could have tried a pint there.

"Murray's Ale"?

There's also the possibility you could have nipped round the corner to the Living Room where they might have had it. Full of helpful, practical suggestions, me.

And the Living Room might have been a touch more salubrious than Murray's. In all fairness, it's not the worst place though. Did you ever find out who was brewing the Murray's?

Nope. Still a mystery.

I enjoyed a few Murrays at the Czech inn, its a great price and not a bad pint as pilsners go.
