I just got back from Messrs McGuire's, where I met my better half for lunch. While there I had a pint of their Bock and one of their Weiss.
Has anyone else tried these beers? What do they think of them?
I'm not too sure what a hoppy weiss would be like but I imagine it would overwhelm the yeast character. I like the sound of a hoppy bock though even if it's not to style.
Jaysus, I'd be falling asleep after a couple of pints at lunch. Come to think of it, I was falling asleep even without pints!
I haven't been in Mssr's for ages. In fact, not since just after they opened! I wasn't too impresed then though. Must go in some early evening for a resample.
