So, we had a pretty serious down time just now, to the extent that FTP and control panel access were not possible. I contact the host immediately, and they suspected a dead hard drive, but as the site is now back (after about 2 hours down), it may not have been that catastrophic. I'll try to find out, but we are already planning a move (which Andrew will lead as I go into semi-retirement <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->)

I think it's been down since about 5pm today, but not sure exactly, and I don't know when it came back. NHBC sees a (small) spike whenever beoir.org is down, incl today.
