Just giving you a heads up, about 5 minutes before this (1:10am ish) the mySQL server was unavailable.

Just to update on this, for a while today mySQL was complaining of not having enough memory.

I got that too

It also appears the server time is off by an hour.

The outage was from around 8am till just after 3pm.

Our hosting is on a shared server platform. One of ht other sites sharing the database had some dodgy script lose control of itself, leaking memory. Eventually all memory available ot the database was gone, hence the errors, as mySQL was unable to run queries to display the front page or even log people in.

Gues7, the error you posted about on the 10th (sorry, just saw that now) happens sometimes, and we've no idea why. Backups running, or updates on the DB server, we never got a reason.

Ever consider moving over to a VPS? I can refer you to a cheap one I use, has reasonable uptime too... case in point:
