Auto-Logout? 15 years 2 months ago #19

It only seemed to be an issue today, when I followed a post update. Not sure how to empty the cache. Is that my temporary internet files or something else? I delete temporary files and cookies on exit from explorer. I'll check the log in situation further over the next few days, and will see if I can log on to a non work computer.

Thanks for your help.
Billy.

Every time you exit?
That'll be your problem, Id say.
The only way the web-site knows its your computer when you load it is by looking for a cookie which it saved on your computer the last time you were logged in. Thats how it auto logs you back in. If you delete the cookie, tit has no way of knowing.

If you are worried about web-sites using these for evil, there should be settings in the browser to only allow cookies from certain sites.

Yep, well spotted.

Sorry for the confusion lads. I was under the impression that I was deleting everything, but it's only my browsing history. I've opened the termporary file folder, and it is choc full cookies for Beoir and multiple other sites.

I wouldn't spend too much more time worrying about it.
Thanks,
Billy.
