Hello All,

We've been getting his with a considerable number of spam registrations the past week, despite the Captcha, entry of date of birth, acceptance of T&Cs, minimum password length etc... I'm disabling user registration to figure out how to best block this, or if they are somehow bypassing all of that stuff.

It seems to be happening a few other Irish sites I use as well. A new year assault <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->

Yeah, I really don't get it. No spam on the site itself, but lots of clearly spammy registrations. It seems to have slowed now with the extra protection (2 today so far compared to about 25 yesterday).

I've deleted two spam messages so far, the last just a minute ago.

tragic, my joke was deleted too. Why are all these russians trying to sell us viagra? Worrying that it can get around captcha etc.
