Is there a setting in the back end you can change to default all links to open a separate tab/window rather than use the current window and close Beoir?

Sure you can right click and do it manually... lets put it this way... boards.ie defaults to a new window/tab <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=":wink:" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

You should be able to set this in your browser.

Yeah like I said I know that I can do something about it myself, this is not for me. It all depends on the browser of course. Chrome for instance does not have much in the way of options. So I right click or ctrl click. Personally I think if someone visits this site and clicks a link, the site should stay open and a new window or tab open the way boards.ie and other sites do.

Maybe it's just me but if we get someone on the site I think it is better to keep them on it. Does that make sense? Rather than completely navigate away, just open a new window/tab and that way when they close that, they still have beoir open.

click on the link with the scroll wheel will open a page in a new tab

Does everyone like that system? It kinda annoys me when websites decide for me that I want to open in a new tab, (but maybe I'm in the minority) I prefer the current behaviour - if I want to open in another tab I middle-click, otherwise I click straight through.
