I think someone may have mentioned this in a separate post - but is it just me that finds the icon beside the topics to say whether i have read it or not is v similar for both.

Maybe making the unread one a little bolder and maybe also making the read one a little lighter would sort this?

Also - on ICB there was a little legend at the bottom to say what all the icons meant (maybe ive missed this on beoir)

Yeah, they can be a little hard to differentiate. I found it depends on the monitor (desktop LCD harder than laptop). I'll see what I can do in the next couple of weeks.

The unread topics do look darker than before.
I dont know whether you have actually changed something or its the placebo of you telling me you did - either way i think it has worked <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
