TOPIC:

Bar review module 18 years 8 months ago #1

As discussed in another thread we have been thinking of putting in a bar review system. If people have suggestions for what information (fields for text, yes/no, ratings etc) would be good for a bar review, especially in the context of craft beers, then pop it in here.

Thanks

List could include;

Beers available on tap ([i:xqj319mq]including[/i:xqj319mq] macros),

Bottled selection,

Ambience,

Prices,

Food (quality),

Service,

Beer knowledge of staff,

How's that for starters?

Yep, the beer selection would be good. WHich of the above do you see as a rating (say 1-5 0r 1-10) and which as a descriptive text field?

I think there should be a check box to mark those that have Irish craft beer on tap.

What are the criteria for inclusion?
Can any pub be included?
Does it have to sell craft beer?
Does it have to sell Irish craft beer?

I would be in favour of only listing pubs that sell Irish craft beer, whether it is in the bottle or the keg (or indeed cask, if such a thing were to happen).

I feel that that would make it a small but useful list.

Westbrew said in the other thread that it should be limited to "pubs and off-licences with something worth drinking". For some of us, that's all of them
