I was asking from a more of a site archival point of view then a bandwidth one. It might be an idea to get all the images into ICB photobucket accounts and redo the links in the articles.
It would be a shame to loose some of the images in the article because people either delete them or move them in their own accounts over time.

Oh. Well, as far as I know, they're pretty much all in the ICB one. When we moved to using photobucket TBN did a job on moving stuff from the local hosting to the bucket. There's a handful still on local hosting. I'll check when we migrate though, just in case.

I checked a few and it seems to be the older articles (like mine)

Pages are definitely loading quicker for me.

Well, for those interested, the monthly bandwidth usage of ICB has gone down from 19GB to 4.9GB. This is after using compressed output, dropping some of the larger avatars, blocking a lot of search engine bots and blocking some suspicious IPs.

We seem to have some very active users though! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
