Recipe categories? 17 years 3 weeks ago #1

I would say it has been mentioned but perhaps having different categories in the recipe section would be nice. One for AG and one for extract. Maybe even one for modified kits.

It would make searching a little easier.

There is a guideline[/url:35mxz9i5] which asks posters to put Extract or All Grain in the subject field.

I know, I just thought it would be handier if there were sub categories so everything in extract would be extract.
Its No big deal.

But the present format allows everyone to view the recipes in a single context, i.e. all grainer's may not spend much time look at kits and ViceVersa

An allows a much more open discussion of the recipes

(With the possible exception of kits, since you can't really control them) I think it makes sense to leave them in the same place, since you can make a reasonable conversion from extract to grain anyway; it's nicer to have a bigger selection in the one place to choose from, especially if there are a few similar recipes you can pick and mix them a bit.

Fair enough, in fact it makes sense now. Im still new enough to brewing to not know how to change an AG recipe to an extract recipe but im sure with a few more brews I will probably seek out AG recipes to play with and do an extract version.
