SAFE CARE® Line Cleaner 100% Safe and Non Corossive 14 years 5 months ago #7

Some more information,

We recently ran a trial at a pub who have been using a traditional purple beer line cleaner, we asked the Pub to run there normal clean as they have done so for over 20 years including the full rinse, normally they would next pull beer through the line and serve as normal,
however we then asked him to run our line cleaner on there clean Lines to see what happened, to there amazement our line cleaner removed a large amount of sediment and to the publicans horror there was also some of the Purple line cleaner still stuck to this sediment (it turns green with our line cleaner)this showed that our plant based Line Cleaner was 1. more effective then the old Costic based cleaner, 2. as the old cleaner was not soluble in water there was still residue in the line, As our cleaner is fully soluble in water this is impossible,

Any of the cleaning products, be they VWP, Oxiclean, Beer Line Cleaner or others will clean but they will not sanitise. Once the equipment has been cleaned and rinsed you should follow with your chosen sanitiser - a no rinse sanitiser such as iodophor or Starsan is ideal as rinsing with tap water defeats the purpose of sanitising in the first place - you may get away with it, but then again you may not.

The product above sounds good but given the dilution rate required 5 litres would last quite a long time in a typical homebrew senario - is it an option to sell it repackaged in 1 litre bottles for example?

As we pack this product ourselves,
I have no problem selling this in 1 Lt bottles if that is what is required,
I will have pricing on this tomorrow,
Please let me know if you are interested in this as i will have to let manufacturing know how many to run off,
I would Expect a price of about €12.50 for a 1 Lt bottle but as I said I need to confirm,
Regards

scichem kindly sent me a sample of this line cleaner and I thought I would let people know what I thought.

I mixed it up in warm water (1 part cleaner to 100 parts water) and filled my lines with it for 30 minutes, as per instructions. I then ran some rinse water though before passing beer through. The lines certainly seemed clean afterwards and there was no taint evident in the beer.

I found it convenient and it compares favourably with the caustic solution I normally use.
