Any indication of pricing yet?
Maybe put a list on Google Docs to quantify interest?

One cornie and flow control tap affixed to keg going for €75, must be collected by month end if anyone interested. Call me at 01 475 1122 to organise.

Hey Geoff,

Im a complete newbie (so apologies for my lack of knowledge) and just about ready to bottle stout after a 10 days in the brew bucket.

Im looking for options. Bottles / keg or whatever.

Would this 'cornie' work for me at this stage, or am i just jumping the gun a bit?

Hi rebelnorrie, you could prime the brew and let it carbonate in the keg as it would do in bottles but you would probably need to organise a gas source for dispensing the brew after that.
hope this helps

Hi rebelnorrie, cornies involve an investment in equipment such as disconnects, gas regulator and gas bottle approx €100. So unless you plan on stocking up on beer and maybe having a kegerator when it comes to serving, the bottles are the way forward.

There are other simpler options such as King Keg dispensing, which is easier & cheaper. Ask some questions as the Beoir members are full of experience knowledge.

Tips; dissolve your priming sugar in a container of hot water then add carefully to your bucket before filling bottles, this ensures even carbonation.

Be thorough in the cleaning process of all bottling equipment, don't cut corners at this stage of the project.

Good luck either way.

Hey Pelliven,

Thanks for the advice - sounds like a bit too much of a step for me to be honest. might just do a few brews in bottles and see if i want to move onwards and upwards from there!
