Bought one of these but found it's surplus to requirements, so I'm just looking to get back the €36 that it cost.

Brand new wrapped in plastic, still in the box, never used.

Comes with temp probe, and is just the unit and probe on their own (what Forttex Systems call "Pack 1").

I'm in Leixlip if anyone wants to collect, or I can post at buyer's expense.

Yup, still have it Adam. We're 10 miles from O'Connell Bridge, straight out the N4. Or you can get the train if you like, we're on the Maynooth suburban line (ex Connolly), Leixlip Confey station is behind the house.

Interestingly Arthur Guinness's first brewery was here on the Liffey, as was a large-ish whiskey distillery on the Rye water, a tributary of the Liffey.

His first brewery was apparently in the Bishops Palace in Cashel. By that I mean, his father and he were appointed brewers for the bishop prior to him moving up to Dublin. Can't back any of that up, its purely a word of mouth type of thing.

That's intertesting, I hadn't heard that before. I did read that he was brewing low grade table porter in Leixlip, and not the famous stout, despite the signs on the roads into Leixlip ("the original home of Guinness").
