To save yourself some cash you could ask your local to set some bottles aside for you, also, i hear th bull and castle in Christchurch set some bottles aside for us home brewers

I asked around the local bars and was met with strange looks and excuses of red tape and bureaucracy.
A typical response was "ooh the manager isn't here, I couldn't possibly do that without checking. Can you call back?" Upon calling back I was met with more strange looks and mumblings of having to call suppliers....
Just buy yourself a case of Erdinger or similar German beers, usually about €40 for 20 bottles but you can sometimes get cheaper. It's only slightly more expensive than buying the same no. of bottles, and you have a lot of beer in the house to stop you sampling the homebrew before it is fully ready.
