Beer Bottles wanted (Dublin (sw)) 16 years 4 months ago #1

Hi

Im new to beer brewing. I've got the starter kit but I dont have any bottles.

Is anyone willing to part with some of their bottles for my hard earned cash?

Thanks! <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

LOL, stright to the point,

To save yourself some cash you could ask your local to set some bottles aside for you, also, i hear th bull and castle in Christchurch set some bottles aside for us home brewers

I asked around the local bars and was met with strange looks and excuses of red tape and bureaucracy.
A typical response was "ooh the manager isn't here, I couldn't possibly do that without checking. Can you call back?" Upon calling back I was met with more strange looks and mumblings of having to call suppliers....

Drink Store in Stoneybatter will let you have Guinness or Bulmers pint bottles for the deposit the brewery charge.

Just buy yourself a case of Erdinger or similar German beers, usually about €40 for 20 bottles but you can sometimes get cheaper. It's only slightly more expensive than buying the same no. of bottles, and you have a lot of beer in the house to stop you sampling the homebrew before it is fully ready.
